The game is based on the mixed martial art sport, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and combines various types of fighting moves to give a true-to-life combat experience. This version of the game features the same realistic graphics and gameplay found in the Xbox version, along with an extensive career mode. Players choose from a lineup of new fighters and familiar ones, such as current UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Oritz, and many more. Gamers compete in an arcade mode for quick fights, UFC and Champion modes for sustained campaigns, a Tournament mode for round-robin competition between players, and the expanded career mode for many special tournaments. A create-a-fighter option is also available, where gamers choose body types, faces, tattoos, and other physical features to create an awesome rookie fighter.
