Although it was weird to read a book when I've actually met and corresponded with the author, I thought this was an very good first novel. In places it's a little uneven, and the pacing wasn't always perfect, but the story was engaging and the characters made me smile. And when she wants to, Pam can make you cry with the best of them. She is a talented writer and she's just getting started - watch out for her in the future.
