Amazon.co.uk Review

Trade is booming for Wallace and Gromit's Wash'n'go window-cleaning service and love is in the air as Wallace falls for the owner of the local wool shop, the delightful Wendolene Ramsbottom. But with Wallace's new invention, a knit- o-matic machine, sheep rustlers and Wendolene's malevolent pooch on the prowl, life is about to get much more interesting.

This wonderful pop-up book allows the world of Nick Park's Wallace and Gromit to spring to life and captures all the freshness and fun of the award-winning series. As with the cartoon, there are very few words, the action is all in the pictures and, with plenty of tabs to pull and flaps to lift, the action moves in 3-D. This is the closest you will get to the cartoon without a video player. (Ages 4 to Adult) --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

Wallace's latest money-making scheme is to set up a mobile shoe-repair service - 'uppers stitched', 'heels reheeled, soles sold'. He has invented an 'Auto-Cobbler' - a mobile shoe-repairing machine - which to everyone's surprise (especially Gromit's) actually works. But when Wallace accepts local football team the 'Wallaby Wanderer's' plea to repair their worn-out boots, not even Gromit can anticipate the disastrous consequences...

5.0 out of 5 stars A Grand Read, 5 Oct 2009
Lots of the other reviews here, whilst glowing, are for other Wallace and Gromit titles. If anything I would say this is even better. 20 years since the release of 'A Grand Day Out', this graphic novel has been created with high production values. The illustrations are atmospheric and capture the feel of the animation, and the book itself is beautiful to look at. It has a foreword from Nick Park too - a real seal of approval from the man himself! Great stuff, I can't wait for the rest in the series.
