When starting to read 'The Longest Night' try not to have any expectations about how this novel has been written. Try to image this book as any other and with ten amazing authours all working together to create this master piece, you'll soon think that this is the best book you've ever read.
For a collection of twelve short stories it is almost, but not quiet, suprising that this book is completely seamless when reading it, every new chapter / hour meets the next without skiping a minute of the night.
This is a novel like every other Angel novel, apart from the fact that every single piece of suspence, every thrill and all of the action is multuplied by twelve, if your a fan of the Angel novel series or even if your not this book is highly recommended.
Now all that is left is to wait for vol. 2

Set in season 3, this book takes you on a jornie like no other. christmas time, a time for joy, egg nogg and santa, this book allows you to the charrectors to have all this and more with funny, and o my god mornents. a really good read once picked up cant put down

I was instantly captured by this book, and read it within two days. I enjoyed it on the whole, although due to the nature of the book (a collection of short stories), I fele it lacked depther where the charaters were concerned, on some stories. I realise that indepth character potrayls on each character where the story's are so much shirter, is very difficult though.

Looking at the broader spectrum of the book, I did find it a very enjoyable read, the authors all had a good knowledge of the characters and the themes of the show, and did not make the mistake of assuming the reader has no background knowledge. (I have read some novels that have spent too much time explaining things that the target audience would already know). The blanace in that respect was just right, and the stories reeled me in and kept me wanting to find out more.

This is a good book for fans who enjoy Angel novels, as well as those who just want to give it a try, as each story is quite different. There's something for everyone in this book.
