Product Description

Review

"Detroit News"With elegant, terrifying strokes, Barker draws a universe of fear underlying the commonplace....Behind every mirror, under every carpet and in the heart of dirty streets is an elemental evil, a raw and hungry power....This is good, scary, stuff...The pacing is inexorable, the settings chilling, and the fates remorseless. "In the Flesh" makes you wonder what horror lies around the corner.

Synopsis

An anthology of groundbreaking horror stories tells of a vicious supernatural killer who stalks a young social worker, two businessmen seduced by a mysterious woman, and a frog race to determine the fate of the world. Reprint.

5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect introduction to the world of Clive Barker., 10 Jul 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: In the Flesh (Paperback)
For those who are unfamiliar with his work, I've found that this book is an incredible introduction to the world of Clive Barker. It is more than just come spooky stories. Rather, each story stretches the limits of your imagination and forces you to question your personal perception of reality. I haven't found a book that gave me the shivers this much since Stephen King's Salem's Lot.

5.0 out of 5 stars RIP OFF ALERT!!, 27 Jun 2008

This is just one of the Books of Blood under a different title.
I'm disgusted at Amazon doing this. They're blatantly selling this under false pretenses, and it's not just Clive's work. If you come across a book by a favourite author that you've never heard of, be sure to Google it first to be sure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not quite as I expected, 10 Feb 2009
By angel gabriel (S. Wales England) - See all my reviews
Not one of Barkers most memorable books I have to admit. The book it's self was over and done with very quickly. The storyline however was as good as ever. Recommended for Barker readers
