Product Description

Product Description

Prue's editor at 415 magazine offers her a challenge: if she takes a really fantastic photograph, he'll run it on the cover. This could be Prue's big break - if she can come up with a killer concept. Then Prue gets the idea to shoot a group of models in the Halliwells' Victorian mansion. She'll even use an antique camera to capture the style of an old-time photo. But when Prue snaps the shutter, all the models collapse into a deathly slumber! To rescue the innocents, the Charmed Ones descend into Hades, fighting underworld perils and uncovering an unholy plot. To rescue the missing models they must match wits with the greatest of the ancient Greek gods - and one of the sisters might not be allowed to return to her mortal life.

5.0 out of 5 stars soul of the bride, 15 Jan 2005
By alecsc (coventry, England) - See all my reviews
this was the first charmed book i read, and i thought it was really, really good. the whole story is based around the greek myth of Persephony. in it, Hades and persephonys son wants pheobe to be his bride. she and the models from prues photo shoot are transported to the under world, with an old fashioned camera that prue was tricked into using,by hades son -who phoebe met at art class(what a small world hey?) phoebe is kept prisoner and gothed up ready for the marriage. its up to prue and piper to save her and the innocent models before its too late. But will they get there before phoebe eats 6 pomegranate seeds, and is doomed to the same fate as persephany? (6 months underground -because of the seeds- which makes it winter, and 6 months on earth which makes it summer)its a great book and well worth the read.-piper even meets zeus!- and the side plot involves prue forgetting about piper, because she gets side tracked with her new boy friend, who turns out to be a demon, sent to distract her.(its also funny in parts, with phoebe moaning about her poor hair!) im living proof that its a memorable story, considering i read it about 2 years ago and can still remember all that!

4.0 out of 5 stars The best of all 'Charmed' books with Prue (Shannen Doherty), 1 Nov 2002
To my opinion, this was the most interesting 'Charmed' book with Prue (Shannen Doherty) featured in it. The story is very original and even a bit educational since it is all about Greek mythology. I can't say too much without spoiling it for those of you interested in buying this but the sisters go down on a little trip to Hades and meet up with a whole lot of characters from greek mythology. It also turns around the story of Persephone and how she is comdamned to stay in Hades with the evil Hades whom she was forced to marry! You will enjoy this if you enjoy this kind of stories. It is out of the ordinary and makes a change from the usual demons on Charmed, this one is different. i would rate this 10-15 yr old kind of book, but it can truly be enjoyed by anybody with an imaginative and creative mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars The research on Greek myths makes it so realistic!, 13 Aug 2001
This book is a great read! The author has really done her research. She has captured the 3 girls personality brilliantly. To sum it down - Prue meets a cute guy.Phoebe meets a cute guy aswell. But both men have a secret to hide. The secret is such a threat to the witches that Phoebe ends up being sucked down into the Greek Underworld! It all happens when prue plans to take a photo of Phoebe and her friends posing as Goddesses for the magazine Prue works for.But it all goes terribly wrong.I strongly recommend this book.It is definitely worth reading.
