Fills in the gaps between season 1 and 2 a treat!, 7 Sep 2000

At first i wasn't sure whether this book would be any good: six short stories chronicling the adventures of Buffy and the gang throughout their summer vacation following the events of the season one finale.I was wrong! The book follows Buffys Adventures in L.A whilst she is living with her dad and does it well. The authors had a lot to take into considereation with continuity, but suceeded, and managed to produce interesting, gripping tales which i found hard to put down! Meanwhile, in Sunnydale, the rest of the stories concentrate on GIles, Jenny and Angel who are trying to keep all their adventures a secret from Xander and Willow so they can have a quiet summer. They have to face a shapeshifter, an army of zombies, a pack of touring vamps and bury the masters bones! These stories are about 40 pages each and use imaginitive original ideas. The authors range from the familiar to the new, but all of them impressed me! I would definately buy this book if you are a fan of the series and you've always wanted to know what happened throughout their summer. I really look forward to volume 2!
