Product Description

Product Description

This book is an intimate and personal look at one of the entertainment industry's most complex, influential and intriguing artists of all time - Tupac Shakur. Authorised by Afeni Shakur, Tupac's mother, the book will include exclusive excerpts from his poetry, journals and personal letters. Entirely in his own words, TUPAC: RESURRECTION will provide a startling new insight into the real Tupac.

About the Author

TUPAC SHAKUR was born in June 1971. After spending time in the 127th Ensemble, a Harlem theatre group, Tupac Shakur went to the Baltimore School of Arts, where he honed his already impressive rap skills. At the age of 19 he released his first album, SEX PACKETS, with a band called Digital Underground. After one more DU record, he went solo, and the following five years were his most fruitful artistically. He released a number of classic records including 2Paccalypse Now and Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. In 1995, after recovering from being shot five times during a robbery, he released the two-million copy hit ME AGAINST THE WORLD, and followed that up with the double CD ALL EYEZ, which sold 3 million copies. Shakur also appeared in a number of films, including the Jon Singleton film, POETIC JUSTICE. In September 1996, Tupac Shakur was murdered in Las Vegas. He was 25 years old.

4.0 out of 5 stars Its a great book, 17 Nov 2003
I was so happy when i got this book, it was well worth the money. This book includes poems, songs and plays writen by Tupac, and the pictures are of great quality.
When you read this book it is like having an interview with Tupac himself, its like he is there telling you all about his life, in prison and out of prison. I really enjoyed reading this book and i would highly recomend any Tupac fans or anyone who wants to get to know about Tupac to get it. ITS THE BEST!!!!!

this book is great. it doesnt conatain loads of text, but mainly moving quotes and speeches from tupac and some of the people who were close to him.
What makes this book so good, is the images. To my surprise, the majority of the pictures included are not plastered all over the internet on fansites. There are plenty of images from all through tupacs life including his days with Jada pinkett (smith) and a very cool picture showing tupac kitted up in gang uniform, guns and all. A must for any fan

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for any fan, 23 Mar 2004
By A Customer
Tupac in his own words, this is great in a market awash with rubbish trying to make a buck off his back. This starts at the beginning and takes you right thru his career. It includes many photo's, letters, songs etc. His mother was heavily involved in the production of this and the accompanying film. It's not just a coffee table book but a good and interesting read too. Highly recommended. If you buy one Tupac book, make this it.
