Book Description
Wendy Richard has graced our screens now for four decades in such classics as Dad's Army, Are You Being Served? and, for over fifteen years, as EastEnders matriarch Pauline Fowler. In EastEnders she has had dramatic story-lines, but none that match the real life traumas she has faced and overcome. Wendy Richard is a strong and charismatic woman and in her autobiography she tells all about the ups and downs in her personal and private life. Now fully updated to include what Wendy describes as the most important day of her life when she received her MBE from the Queen for her services to television drama. Frank and funny in turns, Wendy's autobiography is the story of a survivor. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Synopsis
This is the life story of Wendy Richard, star of many classic television series. Her career has spanned over 30 years, appearing in shows such as "Dad's Army", "Are You Being Served?" and "Eastenders", she has also had a number one hit with Mike Sarne's "Come Outside", and she has appeared on a variety of stage and screen productions. A recognizable personality, she tells of her life from her early days in Teeside, her influences and the personal and professional successes and traumas that have shaped her life.

I could not put Wendy's autobiography down - it made me laugh and cry, she has had an amazing life and through her 40 years made so many people happy. You really do get a behind the scenes look at Are You Being Served? and Eastenders & really get to know about the woman behind the characters Pauline Fowler and Shirley Brahms (she even has a dog called Shirley Brahms II! - EXCELLENT!!!
