The art on these cards is mature, subtle and surprising, with rich detail. The individual cards are very good sources for intuitive readings and I have had some stunningly accurate predictions from using this deck for divination purposes.

However, be warned that the symbolism on these cards often veers widely from classical tarot symbolism. As such, this is not the kind of deck that would give a beginner a representative knowledge of the tarot that would transfer easily to other decks. Also, it means that your average tarot book descriptions of what a particular card means often won't apply in relation to many cards in this deck. Finally, you might want to choose a different deck to this one if you're wanting to use the deep symbolism of the tarot as a meditation aid.

I've enjoyed using this deck though, and I'd recommend that you buy this deck if you're...
a) looking for something beautiful
b) interested in using cards as a springboard for scrying, as opposed to a means to access the deep symbolism of traditional tarot decks for divination or meditation.
