4.0 out of 5 stars Opens the mind, and gives an insight into it's power., 25 April 2001
By A Customer
Ligget has produced an interesting text on the power of the mind, and how it can be utilised. Through the analysis of his case studies, he explains the different uses of hypnosis in sport. Takes mental imagery and relaxation one step further. Connects with the areas of the mind that we sometimes care to forget.

Gives clear instructions on induction and warnings for those of us who are not trained in hypnosis or psychoanalysis. Missing the after affects of trance state, which can be for some individuals painful and frightening.

Overall though an excelent read for the post graduate in sports and exercise psychology. The methods here can be applied in the day to day coaching of performers!
