The questions in this book are very badly worded and ambiguous. Numerous answers are wrong. It does not cover all the material on the exams and some of the questions are too obscure. If you know someone who has it already it might be worth doing the Test Exams at the back. Don't beleive the bloke who says he got 99% there are only 60 questions on the exam and this score is not possible!

I found this book most useful - I sat down with it and read it from cover to cover over a single day. Whenever I came across an item I didn't know, I went to my computer and looked at the VB Product to see the answer, or wrote some code.

Sure the content is not sufficient for learning the subject from scratch, but I found it to be an indispensible help to revision (and I passed both the Desktop and Distributed exams the next morning, 98% and 99%).

This book combined with the other New Riders books dedicated to VB6 exams are everything that I needed to pass the exam. This book was an excellend resource and I used it (+ the New Riders 70-175 & 70-176 books) to pass both the Desktop and Distributed exams. Having VB experience is also necessary to pass. You can't JUST buy books and go in and take exams - you need experience too so you know how to handle Microsoft's scenario questions! But overall, this book clearly is not only sufficient enough to pass, but to comfortably pass (I scored in the 900's). The reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is that some questions have incorrect answers, which I think is ridiculous, but is becoming the norm with exam prep books.

Don't expect to pass the test with this book alone. This book is a review for the 70-176 test only. I recommend you buy the Master Series from Microsoft Press.
