I heard about this book on a lecture about the topic of Scientific Writing, and being a scientist in need of help writing an article, I bought it. What a life saver! The book is simple and to the point, with examples, tips and schematics. I particularly liked the strong ethics of the authors, in some of the tips given.
The result was the complete turn-around of a boring, long article, into an objective, straightforward paper.
I recomended it to all my colleagues and quite a few of them are going to or have ordered it already.
Definitely a must for all scientists.

After attending a scientific writing course this book came highly recommended for further reading to become more competent with my writing. It is an excellent reference text when it comes to writing up work, and explores common pitfalls and how to avoid them, as well as acting as a much needed source of inspiration when it comes to writers block. However, the only way to really become more competent with your writing is to practice, but this is an excellent place to start.
