Product Description

Synopsis

This book is a revised and updated version of the original textbook covering the needs of preclinical and postgraduate dental students. It should also be useful to those dental practitioners who wish to keep abreast with rapidly developing aspects of biochemistry and molecular biology and the ways in which they are relevant to oral biology. Beginning with structural aspects of biological compounds and the organization of macromolecules, the book proceeds via nutrition and metabolism to topics of specific dental interest - soft tissues, hard tissues and the biology of the mouth. The text also covers plaque and oral disease and its prevention.

This book is absolutely brilliant for any dental student and i'm sure is the same for medical students! Im studying at Glasgow university and the library only has 3 copies of this book as its currently out of print but most of the lecturers still use the book! If you can get your hands on it - BUY IT! Its can seem quite frightening at first glance no pretty colour pictures but its got all the info you need and tells you it in a simple way. Its got me fully understanding glycolysis which say enough!
