Over 2000 pages of information on anything to do with anatomy, physiology,diseases, and illnesses.The book also includes appendixes containing information on pharmacology, infection control, nursing interventions, diagnosis,medical terminology, clinical calculations and assessment guidelines. This book contains over 2300 colour photographs and full colour diagrams of the human anatomy. This book is a must buy for anyone with an interest in health care.

I was hoping that this medical and nursing dictionary would provide succinct and clear definitions. I was not disappointed. Every time I come across an obscure term in a medical journal article, I quickly check this dictionary and usually find an entry. More importantly, the entry is invariably well written, informative and clear. There has clearly been intelligent editing of this book, because while some entries are short and to the point, some expand on their subject matter, and the selection of which topics to expand upon is astute. I wouldn't be without my Mosby's.
