Amazon.co.uk Review
More Hot Chocolate for the Mystical Soul is, as the subtitle says, a collection of "101 true stories of miracles, angels and healing". The follow-on from
Hot Chocolate for the Mystical Soul it is full of tales of mystical events which serve to uplift and inspire us in our daily life. It is packed with angelic visitations, messages from passed on relatives, meetings with soul mates, communication with dolphins (and other animals), spiritual awakenings and many other mystical occurrences. All the tales convey to us that the universe is fundamentally a good place and that we are often helped in unexpected ways. The stories have a distinctly American flavour, familiar to those readers who have sampled the
Chicken Soup for the Soul series, and have a common appeal. A rich and diverse gathering of storytellers from ex-convicts to spiritual leaders, communicate their extraordinary happenings with an engaging openness and honesty, making it an easy book to relate to. Very often the initial breakthrough into the world of spirit can be dramatic and yet familiar as illustrated in this quote:
"Doreen, you'd better put the top up on the car or else it will be stolen". In retrospect it's odd that the voice didn't startle me. The communication seemed natural, even though at the time it wasn't a normal occurrence in my life.
All over the Western world there is a shift from organised religion to individuals living a spiritual life on their own terms. This book illustrates and puts flesh on the bones of this emerging culture.
Hot Chocolate is, as the name suggests, a sweet and rewarding book to dip into and savour. The stories powerfully remind the reader that we are not alone in this world, that we are overseen by benevolent beings and that the invisible world of spirit can be very close. --Peter Lloyd
