I read this book with great interest and some excitement, as it seemed to pinpoint exactly where I was at. Then I went for some hormone measurements, did lots of web searching and had some helpful conversations with my doctor. I will just say that though the treatments the author recommends _may_ be right for you, the medical evidence is simply not as clear-cut as he makes out, and it is quite possible to have all the symptoms he describes along with hormone levels that don't fit his theories at all. The medical establishment is sceptical of his views for good evidence-based reasons, not (just) pig-headedness.
