Having recently discovered that my cholesterol levels are too high, despite already eating very healthily/not being overweight/taking regular exercise, I was at a bit of a loss what to do to improve the situation. I found this book very helpful and encouraging, and it made me realise that there are things you can do to lower cholesterol significantly other than to cut down on fat. The only negative things I would say about it are the author sometimes refers to American food brands that I don't think are readily available here, and I felt that little information was supplied on the fact that large amounts of niacin can cause liver damage - bearing in mind that anyone can self-prescribe themselves large doses of niacin this is quite an important fact. Nevertheless I would recommend this book wholeheartedly.

I found the book easy to read and it gives several diet based and vitamin supplement techniques to decrease your cholestrol. a very good self help book.

Book was really good some good ways of reducing cholesterol,only down side,there was no recipe in my book for these oat barn muffins.Author goes on about niacin and three a-day of these muffins really disappointed not to find recipe in book for them.If any one out there can help with this recipe would be extremely grateful
