Perfect for entertainment, perfect for development, 7 Oct 2001
I bought this book for my 3 year old when she was a baby and now my youngest, one and half, is enjoying it too. This book has many things going for it, colours, textures, nursery rhymes, animals and faces, but my favourite is the numbers. The numbers are inlaid with emery board like material, which the kids love to scrape their nail down. Each one is labelled 'touch one', 'touch two' etc, which guides an inexperienced parent like myself to encourage their interaction. My 2 children love numbers, some credit can definitely be taken by this book.

Excellent first nursery rhyme book, 22 Feb 2001

Although "Twinkle, Twinkle little star" is not actually included in the wording in this book, many other good rhymes are, e.g. Two little dicky birds and Baa baa black sheep. There is much to touch and feel, furry and shiny, some counting, and wavy and loopy patterns to trace, which will help children with writing later on. This works on may different levels, is sturdy enough to last a while, which, as it could be in constant use from a year upwards, is certainly a good thing!

My tot's favourite , 10 Feb 2007
It's durable, beautifully coloured and illustrated and with plenty to do on every page (touching, feeling textures, singing rhymes, knocking on doors, counting, opening flaps, making animal noises and so on).
I bought this book for my daughter when she was about 9 months ... six months later she is still picking out this book pretty much every day. I still enjoy it too!
