No Empty Phrases is another book edited by Donald Hilton in his inimitable style. This time he has taken the overall title of The Lord's Prayer and included prayers, poems and prose based on each line of the prayer, which has made it ideal for the individual or communal reader. In fact the main reason I bought it was to use within our church services as it is a good source of inspirational readings to cover all types of situations and feelings. It also provides different versions of the Lord's Prayer which have been used in different centuries or countries ever since the original version was first heard. I'd recommend this book to anyone needing material to use in illustrating the ideas behind this prayer to anyone aged 5-100+.
