A book to celebrate the centenary of Ardizzone's birth.
This book was conceived some years ago as a celebration of the life of a great artist and illustrator. Compiling it took three years and gave me a great deal of pleasure.

It is no surprise in a John Murray book to see high quality design and production. I have yet to buy a John Murray book I didn't love. This beautiful book shows countless Ardizzone sketches which will delight and amuse. The sketches are accompanied by text giving a colourful insight into Ardizzone's character. Among the many things to relish are Ardizzone's letters to friends, each of them illustrated. Would that I had a fraction of this man's talent! A perfect Christmas present if you can bear to part with it.
