Product Description

Clifford and Constance made home in Wragby Hall. Clifford's father was killed in the Boer War during the siege of Ladysmith. He was hiding in the NAAFI when a tea urn fell on his head. Clifford was now a baronet, Constance was Lady Chatterley. They dressed for dinner and undressed for bed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Giggle till you throw up, 12 Dec 2001
"Giggle till you throw up"

...Giggle till you throw up is a prime example of the body's reaction to this particular book. Be prepared however to constantly feel the necessity to revert your eyes to the previous paragraph as it becomes increasingly difficult to read the following paragraph through the tears of laugher which will no doubt flow once you begin the first chapter.

If you were lucky enough to catch the BBC's televised edition of Lady Chatterley's Lover then you really are in for an absolute treat. Milligan's text follows the BBC's televised edition almost identically and thus in turn ensures continuous laugher.

An absolute must for those who enjoy Milligan's humour I cannot recommend this book highly enough, except maybe to read some other classics given the Milligan treatment such as Robin Hood, Frankenstein and another personal favourite Black Beauty.
