This is a beautiful book about a beautiful corner of Great Britain. Susan Hill seems to appreciate the atmosphere of magic that pervades the Cotswolds, and she has an eye for the sinister, as befits the author of some excellent ghost stories. I recommend this book to anyone thinking of visiting the Cotswolds, and the photographs are very beautiful.
