4.0 out of 5 stars Ever been baffled by Stephen Hawking's Brief History?, 19 Aug 2002
Astronomy Lecturer Silk, covers pretty much the same ground as Stephen Hawking did in the Brief History of time; however unlike that book, this book has stripped out all the impenetrable jargon and turned the subject into a very readable history. To aid this readability, the mathematics has been removed to an appendix - for those who want it, and coupled with an excellent glossary this book is a must for any one interested in Cosmology. This book has clear diagrams and excellent English.
