Book Description
This book is a resource for all hard pressed Churches and preachers looking to enliven their Sunday worship. Within these pages is a set of over 170 easily performed, two-person sketches for every Sunday of the three year lectionary cycle. Each short piece of drama is based on the set Gospel lesson and aims to develop themes or illuminate characters found in those readings. They are a useful springboard for issues to be developed in a wide variety of styles of worship from all age worship to mid-week groups or school assemblies. The sketches vary tremendously in style but are all designed to be performed with a minimum of fuss. Scripts do not have to be learned and most need very little in the way of costumes or props. The general aim is that drama be used to provide simply a fresh way of looking at the gospel story and its relevance for today.

Synopsis
Containing 170 easily performed, two-person sketches for every Sunday of the three-year lectionary cycle, this text provides a useful resource for churches and preachers looking to enliven their Sunday worship. Each short piece of drama is based on the set Gospel lesson and aims to develop themes or illuminate characters found in those readings. They should prove a useful springboard for issues to be developed in a wide variety of styles of worship from all age worship to mid-week groups or school assemblies. Many of the sketches have already been "road tested" by school pupils and minimal preparation is needed with plenty of opportunity for creative expansion.
