5.0 out of 5 stars what every rider should know, 4 Aug 2002
By beverley whitby (ALVASTON, DERBY United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Riding and Schooling by Clare Albinson is what every rider should read,it is clear and well presented, with line drawings in appropriate places. It starts with the rider, then moves on to the horse, the author continually emphasises the importance of the balance of the horse, and keeps returning to those basic principles (which really makes it stick in your head) - having read this, I have had more confidence to try different ideas out on my own horse, with outstanding results.

5.0 out of 5 stars top little book, 10 Mar 2003
By A Customer
Don't be put off by the fact that this book is under a fiver. It is a clear easy to read book which really does explain the foundations to successful riding and schooling. There are no glossy pictures but there are a variety of useful diagrams, which aid the text. This book discusses the importance of good riding, the benefits of a schooled horse, and provides information on how to go about it. All in all it is a great book which informs the rider who wishes to improve their own and their horses performance of the basic principles of riding and schooling.
