5.0 out of 5 stars Right way, right on, 19 Mar 2004
By A Customer
A very competent, logical and easy to read book. Excellent value for money and should be read by anyone half interested in playing an instrument. The reason; music reading helps convey vital information. Understand the rules of music notation and wow, powerful stuff. Top marks to the authors, well done!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Whilst being concise it teaches everything about music, 25 Aug 2001
By A Customer
If you are studying for GCSE music then then this book is perfect. It has been written by two experienced music teachers who deliver everything you need to know about music concisely. You learn all about notation through to how to read harmonies but read it carefully because after each chapter it tests you. Whatever instrument you are learning this simplified information will help you through what could be a tough examination. What's more at the value-for-money price this book is essential for all music students. (BY SARAH TOWNLEY)

There are questions but no answers are given. The book is dead, without life. Reading this book takes me back to me school days. Not nice!
