5.0 out of 5 stars 5 different shops with loads of inspiration!, 1 Oct 2001
By A Customer
Miniaturists with a passion for filling 1/12 th scale shops of all descriptions - take note! A beautifully illustrated book covering items such as basic tools and materials, general techniques, lighting and plans for:
*An Edwardian toy shop *A Victorian ironmonger
*An art deco tea room *A Victorian bookseller
*A 1930 grocer
The plans are detailed with finishes resembling the true era, including the outer facades and window dressing, the "how to" of assembling the shop, lighting ideas and tips to ensure your end product is superb. Also included are the brandnames of the time period stock - such as Hudsons soap, bovril etc. There are many plans for sneeze tops, counters in various sizes and so on.

A delightful book - for the amateur and professional alike. A must have on your mini bookshelf!
