Wallpaper's Kyoto guide describes its architecture from the 50's on. I doubt many people go to Kyoto for post-war architecture. There is no mention of Japanese culture, the history of Kyoto or of its world famous temples and gardens. There is also no information on how to get about and no maps or navigational assistance.

This guide would make a quirky addition to a standard Rough Guide or similar city guide, but it's not a comprehensive travel guide.
