3.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive but not easy to read, 16 April 2001
I wouldn't recommend this book if you want something to read. It's more suitable if you want to look up a period. There are plenty of illustrations, mostly black and white, mostly paintings, sculptures and other works of art, showing theatre scenes through the ages.
