Product Description

Publishers Weekly

Passionate, frustrated, sarcastic, and sometimes hopeful... [Riverbend] offers... a perspective too often overlooked, ignored, or suppressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing but positive praise for Baghdad Burning., 21 Mar 2006
I first came across these blogs at
http://www.riverbendblog.blogspot.com and was really impressed with the integrity of the content. Here was a young girl living with the reality and horror of war, yet still writing inspirational and interesting essays on her everyday life as an Iraqui civilian, bringing it home to us that ordinary Iraqui people are no different from other ordinary people anywhere. Despite living under occupation and constant threat of death and torture from extremists empowered by the invaders or from those invaders themselves, her writings are fresh, emotive and brave. These blogs are moving, educational and this book should be read by every british and american citizen whether you're for or against the illegal war on terror. This book is courageous, real and will hopefully make you think and ultimately take your own stand against this illegal war.
