Dr. B. as we affectionately call him at York has made the supreme effort of passing on his expertise and genius to future generations of archaeologists. A specialist interest in the archaeology of disease and the preservation of human remains makes Brothwell the first on many university reading lists. The book looks at the excavation and analysis of Lindow Man in detail, and goes on to provide the reader with an in depth review of preserved human remains from around the globe. A must for students, and an exciting and informative read for the public in general.
