3.0 out of 5 stars Let's not get too carried away people!, 30 Oct 2004
This book is produced by some of the most senior instructors of the TAGB (a TKD association that practices the Chang Hun Hyung of Choi Hong Hi) as a result it is well illustrated with good quality photographs, clear instructions as to how to perform the Hyung and a reasonable terminology.

It is not however as brilliant as all the people above are saying.

Many of the photos in the book are taken with the subject's back to them, the patterns were not photographed in such a manner that a technique hidden from the camera is then clarified in a front-facing photograph. This unfortunately rather limits it to students of the Chang Hun only.

The bungai is, to quite honest, shocking. The applications demonstrated must make students of the TAGB wonder why on earth they both with patterns if they are supposed to help with self-defence. An example of this can be found on page 114, fig.249. No thought whatsoever was put into thinking out a realistic application, nor was any research done into any realistic application. I found this to be a good point of reference but I certainly wouldn't rave about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must for any Tae Kwon-Do student, 7 Jun 2000
By A Customer
This is book two in a series of three and once again follows on from the first. Giving easy to follow instructions and precise directions of how to perform the techniques. Again this book is filled with photos giving the breakdown in picture format as well as in words. Once again a must for any Tae Kwon-Do student Many students of mine have purchased this book and find it compliments their training especially when trying to revise for gradings.

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is bril to all students of the TAGB, 27 Dec 2000
By A Customer
This book is absolutely brilliant. It is the second book of the three book series. These are the best taekwondo books on the market. The things that I particularly like about this book is that it shows very good kicks, blocks, strikes, prearranged sparring and it has step-by-step methods on how to perform the patterns required. This book takes you from Won Hyo to Choong Moo. This book is written by the most senior instructors of the TAGB. This book will improve your abilities in Taekwondo tremendously.I highly Recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad - not great
It's OK and for beginners it is certainly of value. If your library has a copy I would borrow rather than buy.
