Product Description

Product Description

This comprehensive work contains an exhaustive collection of stitches, which have been developed in the traditional art of bobbin lacemaking since the seventeenth century. Over 260 stitches and variations are described, ranging from the simplest to the most complex; all the nets, grounds and fillings are included, as well as the decorative features such as spiders, buds, shells, toiles and peas. All the information for each stitch - the photographs, prickings, diagrams and written instruction - can be viewed on a single page, making this book eminently practical for the working lacemaker and student. This valuable and highly authoritative volume will assist all lacemakers in widening their repertoire of stitches.
