4.0 out of 5 stars Presents typical middlegame plans for both sides, 6 Dec 2003
It is an excellent idea to write an opening book by not loading endless pages of theory, rather than concentrating on essentials: pawnstuctures and dynamism in games. The book lack thererical depth but presents clearly basic plans and ideas for both sides. For beginner of french this just the book for you. Plus add some opening theory info from for instance Nunns Chess Openings
