4.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended for all walkers, serious or otherwise, 2 April 1999
By A Customer
Like all the OS/Jarrold Pathfinder guides, this compilation of 28 walks in Dorset is excellent. My only small complaint - some sort of lay-flat binding (a spiral binding perhaps?) would make it easier to use. However, this is true of almost all walking guides. For content and presentation these Jarrold/OS guides can't be beaten.

3.0 out of 5 stars Depends, 14 Sep 2007

(REAL NAME)
How good this series of walking guides is really depends on how much time you spend walking outdoors. My husband and I have purchased this book, along with three others in this series, and hardly ever manage to stick to the actual route in the book. Perhaps the larger guide books offer maps which are more in-depth so you can follow the route more easily. We often get lost, take a wrong turn or generally end up somewhere where we are not supposed to be. Futhermore, a lot of the paths are overgrown which makes me wonder how often these guides are updated.
