Wlhelm creates interesting characters and evocative locations, as always, and makes me want to visit Oregon, as ever. As with all her books, science fiction or thriller, she keeps you turning the pages. In this novel she brilliantly creates a mystery, not just over a death, but over the life that preceded it. A grieving daughter has to come to terms with the death of her father, and understand his life and work in order to avenge his murder.
