Dancing in the Moonlight is a must for those of you who, like me, are big Christina Jones fans. I will warn you though - this book is different from those later books that we've come to love. It's much shorter, written to the "formula" of quick read romances. The story and characters are not as rich and complex as those you'll find in later books. What you will find is a charming and fun traditional romance (happy endings all around). You'll also see the talent that really comes to the surface in Going the Distance, Jumping to Conclusions, Nothing to Lose, etc, etc! Rosa & Kit and a couple of other characters show up in later books, it's fun getting the "background" on them. I did find the large print format strange - I felt like I was reading one of my 5-yr-old's "You Can Read It" books. My verdict - it was 5 stars for me because I love her work and I'd read the bus schedule if she wrote it. If you have not read anything by Christina Jones, don't start here - go on to her later works. For those of you who have read all the later books - this is a nice peek at where she started.

Dancing in the Moonlight is one of Christina Jones' first novels and having read all of her others was desparate to obtain a copy. Unfortunately, it is only available in large print and can take weeks to arrive. But please, don't let this put you off. I am extremely fortunate in having received a copy (which I am still thrilled about!) and read it within a few hours. Granted, it's shorter than her other novels, but the fact that it deals with recurring character in her future novels i.e. Rosa and Kit Pedersen (who own the stables that Maddy and Drew run) makes it an essential item for any Christina Jones collection. In fact, the larger print makes it so easy to read you'll never notice the difference. My advice ..... order your copy now and make your collection complete ..... any wait while it arrives is negligible.
