4.0 out of 5 stars A great help in you are interested in a design career!, 4 Nov 2002
By A Customer
I bought this book at the beginning of my interior design course, and found that it helps with learning both the basics, as well as things like your final costings, mark-ups, and how to interact with clients. This was exactly what I was looking for and found that it helped in learning about my new career choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good start for those who have no idea., 9 April 2000
I found this book was not too useful for me as I have worked in the sector - however I can see it being a useful first base for tose who are new to the business and would like to know how to approach it. I think it is worth a four!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Place to Start!, 12 May 2003
To begin enjoying interior design as a hobby, this is an excellent place to start, it helps you understand the concept of co-ordination and how colours work within the home, to estimating the costs and materials accuratley, ( Helps save time and money with extra knowledge!) Now as a qualified interior designer, I find it the perfect reference book and on the important matters for a business venture in this area eg: dealing with your clients. Definatley a good buy for all those budding homemakers and begginers in the interior world!

2.0 out of 5 stars very sketchy
I was disappointed with this book - it skims over the subject, nothing is discussed in any great depth. Read more
