5.0 out of 5 stars Tells it like it is..., 25 Jun 2002
By A Customer
Not for the faint hearted maybe, as above reviews may suggest, but it states the truth and dispells all the rumours. I'd recommend it, as it outlines many reasons for going vegetarian, from health reasons to far bigger environmental reasons. It's an eye-opener, and it shocked me on many occasions. I couldn't believe some things that go on and are hidden from common knowledge. It's not all heavy though, the answers to "the most annoying questions you are bound to be asked" is quite funny as well as factual. Like in answer to Q: Don't plants feel pain? A: Well if you see a carrot running down the streeet screaming, call me. We'll have witnessed te first vegetable with a central nervous system.
Excellent. Buy it! I read it shortly after going veggie, and it confirmed my beliefs even more so.
