4.0 out of 5 stars It will help you understand your creative processes., 25 Sep 1999
By A Customer
Excellent. If writing is your thing, this book will help you to understand better your own creative processes. It will help you to have a better handle on them - to follow/direct them more purposefully. Her basic thesis is that the creative process doesn't have to be wild and destructive. She doesn't deny the raw energy, the potential for destructiveness. But she helps you to see how you can 'tame' the process - how it can be orderly, healing - how it can have the quality of meditation, contemplation - be something calm and orderly. Superb if that sort of thing appeals to you. But then some people thrive on fire and disorder - this probably isn't the book for them.
