Mark Ford was born in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1962. He attended Oxford and Harvard Universities, and is currently a Visiting Lecturer at Kyoto University in Japan. A selection of his poems was published in New Chatto Poets II (1989); Landlocked is his first full collection.
