5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant the Bible of Cross Stitch, 18 Feb 2002
By A Customer
I have been cross-stitching for over 20 years and have many books on the subject. I can honestly say 2001 Cross Stitch Designs outshines any of the numerous books and magazines I have accumumiated over the years including books from different Countries. There is a motif for every occasion,
an alpherbet for all and boarders to suit samplers, cards, napkins, tablecloths etc. etc.etc. This one book will save me endless hours looking for the perfect motif for the occasion I am stitching , as everything is there in one book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stack of innovative motifs with simple patterns, 24 May 1999
By A Customer
A true delight for the avid cross stitcher. If you only buy one book - buy this one! The motifs are simple to follow, the patterns are well laid out and the detailed colour photography of the samplers provides added help with stitching. The designs also include suggestions for variations and themes as well as the combination of motifs. This is particularly useful as the book was clearly designed for the American market and as such there are many typically "American" themes - these designs can easily be adapted if necessary. The images provided for American Country stitching are particularly good and the style works well for combining multiple images. For the novice stitcher there is also an helpful guide on combining motifs and creating your own designs. The combination of designs is indeed an inspiration in itself! This book is a good "all-rounder".

This book has almost every design a cross stitcher could need. The full-color pictures/charts are very helpful.
