What else should we publish
Actually, I'm the editor. There are many authors of this book. I'd love to hear from users of the book about what they find helpful and what isn't. Also I'm collecting home improvement disaster stories so feel free to share those too. If you have any ideas about books in the home improvement area that must be published, I'd love to hear about those too. My favorite part of the book? Of course the section about installing a toilet. It was the first section I edited and it made me realize I may have earned a masters in journalism in order to write about toilets. Of course I could've gone to D.C. to report on our national government. Hmmm. Perhaps these subjects are not as dissimilar as I thought. Ben Allen

Although well stocked with information, the quality of information ranges from too basic in some cases to too difficult in others. The book makes assumptions as to the reader's knowledge of home repairs to begin with, and then becomes too confusing if those assumptions are not true.

This book does not go into depth enough about each project. It does not list alternative methods of achieving the same results. For the price of the book, I expected a lot more to be covered. Skip this and go to the Time Life series.

A comment on the last review of the "Home Improvement 1-2-3" book which inferred that the computer CD version might be expensive; its NOT! Only $19.95! And it contains lots of useful videos (for example it really doesn't take three hands to wallpaper a corner) and searchable topic areas. A GREAT BUY!
