5.0 out of 5 stars A history of the development of clubbing, 8 Jan 2003
I was lead ot this book following reading biographies of Liza Minnelli and Halston. Having been an ardent club fan for over 25 years, it was iteresting to track the key milestones in clubland development. The full history here is covered in quite some detail and with feeling that is neither joy nor sad regret. While much of the focus is on the New York scene Guest also looks at the impact of international clubbing. It is this period in time that has lead to, and help creat, superstar DJs and clubbing weekend breaks overseas. An excellent commentary.
