Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

The third book in the Waugh's Mennyms series about a most unusual family of ageless rag-dolls that are both alien and eerily human. From their house at Number 5 Brocklehurst Lane, Appleby, Philbeam, Sir Magnus, Soobie (the only blue Mennym) and the rest conduct their isolated routines designed to mimic the human lives they can have no contact with lest their secret be discovered. Here, they face their biggest challenge to date. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

5.0 out of 5 stars Realistic and moving, 10 Jun 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Mennyms Under Siege (Paperback)
The mennyms hide the biggest secret ever - they're all rag dolls and once again they are in hiding from their curious neighbour, Anthea. You would have to read the first two to understand the story.

The Mennyms under Seige is the best book ever - people who like magick will love it. I think it is suitabel for good readers who are 8 years old and over.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very touching story, 20 Feb 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Mennyms Under Siege (Paperback)
This is so realistic and human despite being about rag dolls. It was perhaps not as good as the first one, but it has the most memorable event of all the books - and its so sad. It made me cry. Well worth reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Thrilling Book, 7 Sep 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Mennyms Under Siege (Paperback)
The Mennyms under siege is a well written book. It is a story full of secrecy and excitement and is a good read. When Appleby discovers she is not allowed to go outside she is beside herself with annoyance about it so she bends the rules a bit to her satisfaction. She goes on doing things her own way and in the end she goes to far. Near the end of the book the Mennym family suffer a huge loss which ended up with one less rag doll than at the start of the book. It is well worth reading and is good money spent.
