I know nothing of Irish history and this book gave me a glimpse into the past. This is the first book by Morgan Llywelyn I have read and upon finishing it I was left thirsting for more. Morgan Llywelyn has a true gift with words and her portrayal of Donal Cam O'Sullivan and his clan's winter march to Ulster will absorb you completely. It had such a profound effect on me that I plan to trace O'Sullivan's route (Morgan did this also, to aid her write the book and she told me in an e-mail "I did it myself, on foot - not an easy undertaking, but worth doing.")next year. I loved this book and have now started Lion Of Ireland and 100 pages in and I sure aint disappointed.

HI THERE, FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS BOOK PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE EXACT SAME BOOK IS TITLED 'O'SULLIVAN'S MARCH' FOR READERS IN IRELAND AND I SUPPOSE, THE UK.I BOUGHT IT AND AS SOON AS I STARTED TO READ IT THAT OLD DEJA VU FEELING CAME WASHING OVER ME SO THIS IS JUST A WARNING TO CHECK BEFORE BUYING.
