5.0 out of 5 stars A classic, 1 Oct 2003
By A Customer
The story of Sneezle is a pleasure to read. This is the first in a series and the sort of book that I would have delighted in as a child. It still works for me as an adult and I can't wait to read this to my own daughter when she is old enough to understand it and I know she will enjoy reading it to her own children. I consider this book an heirloom to pass down and hope my great great grandchild(ren) will treasure it too.

The pictures consist of photographs of the "dolls" created by Wendy Froud. The detailed backgrounds, featuring the natural world, and the beautiful faces of the faeries are exquisite. All have an organic quality to them. The book makes you want the world of fantasy to cross into the world of reality so that you can give the hero of the tale, Sneezle, a very big hug for being so adorable and brave.

4.0 out of 5 stars an incredible talent shown in an original way, 2 Jan 2003
This book consists of shakespere's story with help of Terri Windling with photographs of Wendy Froud's incredible doll sculptures.
Each photograph is a mini film set. If you get a chance to see Wendy's work in the flesh, do because the detail on the dolls are exquisit. using the story telling book to put a story to her work really brings the characters to life.
Beuatiful images, and a story for children, young, old and very old!
