5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent guide to mental preparation., 5 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This book gives an excellent guide to mental preparation which can be used both in the sporting and working worlds. It gives high-level guidance for both coaches and athletes in an area which is widely ignored in the amateur sporting world. The fundamental techniques which allow the job in hand to be focussed on entirely are explained simply and clearly. Focussing the individual/team efforts in the manners detailed in this book could mean the difference between success and failure. I have successfully used the techniques contained within the book and I can highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like having your own personal Sports Psychologist, 23 Feb 2002
This book is simple, easy to read and of a quality that is unsurpased. John Syer and Christoper Connoly provide practices and theorys that really work, support with cases of genuine use. I have passed this book on to five people on the team I play on and each ones performance mentally and physically has improved. The key point about this book is that it simply does work!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sporting Body Sporting Mind, 9 Oct 2009
By J. S. Kharibian "Buchanan Books" (London UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I am not a sports person and bought the book for to increase my relaxation, focus and concentration. I'm taking the book slowly, practicing a section before moving on, and find it is exactly what I wanted. Application is as much a philosophical skill as physical disciple. The ideas are a valuable educational tool for anyone.
