5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful General Herb Book, 25 Jun 1997
By A Customer
I love this book, its another one thats dog-eared, and used for reference a lot. While the pictures are limited, the ones of the various plants that are included are excellent.

This book covers just about all aspects of herbs you can think of and then some. From the first part where you have an introduction to herbs, along with myths associated with them and a glossary of herbs where you can gain a ton of knowledge from the herbs that are listed (The descriptions, and information is short but sweet, but not short on information). Part two covers the basics of practical herbalism. Its facinating, in its layout going from beauty and using plants for dyeing to using herbs for healing, and nutrition around the home. Part three ventures into the gardening aspect, and discusses the garden ecosystem, commercial growing, and plants to go into a garden. At the end of the book there are references, index and glossaries. All in all this is a great book, it covers a lot of information in a little space and keeps it simple to boot.
